Faking News gets real..

Although this post is meant for humor, it reflects the kind of news the Indian news channels have been airing! I wish the government sends them all a message and takes them off air! It’s the need of the hour! Following is the newest article on faking news.

If news channels were to report Silencer’s balatkar speech from 3 Idiots

Imagine if Chatur Ramalingam aka Silencer’s speech on Teacher’s Day from the movie 3 Idiots were to be a real event. How would have the leading Hindi news channels of India reported it? Faking News tries to imagine the Breaking News headlines that would have been flashed by five leading Hindi news channels. If you haven’t watched 3 Idiots, you can watch the concerned clip here.

Disclaimer: the photoshop quality is pretty ordinary and the screens don’t resemble the exact appearance of the screen of respective news channels

Zee News: a news channel that is hardly in news, maybe due to headlines like this?

NDTV India: accused of trying too much with information and analysis thrust down the throat of a helpless viewer.

Star News: they keep you ahead (aapko rakhe aage) basically they are hiding behind you, be alert and take care of your posterior.

Aaj Taksabse tez, they had started as a reliable 30-minutes daily news bulletin onDoordarshan, many people believe that their total news content even today is not more than 30-minutes in a day.

and ladies and gentlemen, now presenting, the one and the only, India TV:

Kunal: Seriously? this is what we want to see on television? If I were Tatasky or any of the other DTH owners I would refuse to carry the channel on the private platform for absurd news! Why on earth do we need 50 plus 24 hour news channels when the news is only about Deepika Padukone dating Ranbir Kapoor or a Mahinder Singh Dhoni changing his hairstyle? The real news, Hockey India lost the much required air space to some baba telling us why we shouldn’t be eating while the solar eclipse was on. For god sakes, get real. I wish these go off air.

Do you know if there is a website where i can report this?

Nice one. There is an official forum for complaints regarding objectionable ads. Its high time even fake news channels could be taken to task too.
