TataSky ki ‘Bharosemand’ Customer Service..

This is the reply that i received from TataSky for the email that i had sent. U can read the content of the email here. The content was modified to look more like a feedback. Take a look at the screen shot. This should tell you what good customer care is.

No phone Calls, Nothing. Just a email reply which would give you no information what so ever. This is TataSky for u. And Ambika, this is why i keep crib about TataSky. They call it Tata ki Bharosemand service. What the hell!

Its a pity that India’s leading corporate organization fails in terms of customer service. Despite their best assurances that the installation will happen in about 4-5 hours max in a metro, i still havent received any set box, etc for over 16 hours. I spoke to the customer service guys at the helpline twice and both times was assured that it would happen last evening (before 8 PM). The next morning I received a call from some vague guy asking whether I had placed an order directly and said he would be there at my residence in 10minutes. he turns up 1 hour later-no apologies and asks me if the set top box has arrived.

There is no point in Ratan Tata talking about customer service and commitment and Aamir khan endorsing the product when the ground reality stinks

    Hi RAM

    Thanks for stopping by.
Yes, to what they call the ‘Bharosemand’ (Trusted) customer service, Tatasky never has lived upto expectations..
Beware and keep away.. If have still not seen the sight of the box, Cancel the connection!

There are better options, Tatasky should be the last resort.. U might want to read some other TataSky related posts on my blog.. Here’s One: Another Bad Experience with tataSky

tata sky is a horrible company. i called them and booked my dish at around 12.30 pm in the afternoon, the day b4 yesterday, and was promised that it would be installed by 4.30pm latest on the same day. the payment was made over the phone by credit card. the urgency was that there was tiling work goin on in my house, and the cable had to be concealed. but it was not installed. i called up at 7pm same day, and i was promised that they would come and install it at 8pm, but still nothing. i called up at 1am b4 goin to bed and i was promised that the engineer would call by 9am and install it by 10am, still nothing.

i called again, and i was promised by 1.30pm. i even got an sms saying that, but was not done. i did receive the set top box by 1pm, but the engineer did not show up. i spoke to a couple of people from tata sky, even to a senior, and i was assured that they would contact the engineer’s dept, and they would attend immediately, but still no luck. now its 5 am in the morning, and i spoke to an executive, and she told me that it was scheduled for yesterday 4 pm, and could not give me a reason why it was not done, but promised it will be done today morning on a priority basis. its a waste of time….

i have to wait till it is done. calling is of no use. i wished i could sue them like in the U.S.

i heard that if u book it with a dealer and don’t pay them 1st, it is done much faster. i wasted 3days, making my worker wait, and their wages was a waste of money…

I have been continually saying this all on my blog. BEWARE..
Although the problem you have faced is pretty uncommon, I booked my friends TataSky connection online and It was installed the next day.. They actually wanted to install it the same day, but since there was nobody at home he got it done the next day..

U have to make the full payment even if you get it from the dealer. SO it wasn’t going to be any different.. The problem I guess is with the engineer who is supposed to install it at your place, he’s delaying it. Hope you get the connection installed soon.

I have always complained about the services and the pricing which is a little high for an average person.. You must have read it on my blog. Customer service is the best of the class in the DTH industry in India, so no worries with that, this could just be ana exception.
