Ibibo – I build I bond..

I have been on Ibibo for a while and continue visiting it for some ‘fun ‘ answering stupid questions people ask.  Ibibo gave me a lifetime opportunity of being in TV and till date it happens to only appearance on television. Yes, I was on News24 channel for a live interview. Not looking the best on TV, but what the hell! It probably became a reason to start this blog, There are a series of blog posts i have published to share the experience.

So as i was telling, I have been Ibibo for a while. It’s a fun website, better than orkut, at least for me. I started off writing blogs, and answering questions. Not much activity was seen until they started some contests. The stakes were high and At least after our videos were put online and our contact numbers been made available for users to let them know that we were actual winners. Off late the contest that has been buzzing is the ‘Ibibo fesh face‘ contest.

Is Safety a concern to women?

Are women really feeling safe in our country? The question comes to my mind after reports of a 20 year old German female tourist complained of molestation by a few people.

“September 28,2008; Chandigarh:
A 20-year-old German tourist was allegedly kidnapped and molested by six men on Sunday. She was forcibly taken in a Mahindra Scorpio at about 2 am IST on Sunday from Hotel Taj GVK parking lot and was released in the evening when two men dropped her in front of her friend’s house in Sector 20. The accused used a Maruti 800 car to drop her.

By Monday evening, the police seized one of the cars used by the molesters and identified two of the men out of which one has been arrested.”

Hello people..

An achievement, My blog has received 100 comments! (Thanks to a fellow reader, Armaan, whose comment leaves me with 99 comments, I add a reply and it becomes one hundred!) What is special on October 17, 2008

Thanks to change in shifts, I’m now working early I now check in to office at 7.30 AM sacrificing sleep and health. I’m not complaining, nor am i going to discuss it. I don’t want to turn the blog into ‘Bridget Jones Diaries’. Anyways, Why are we discussing October 17,2008?? It is not the end of the world! Please stop thinking about LHC. Hmmm.. Can’t get your mind off it, can u? Wait, yes! Before we even start discussing the topic, Here is a forward email that i received this morning.

Not just another Saturday

Saturday, 6th September 2008:

The climate was pleasant and cloudy. My parents were up early and were already munching away on the breakfast. It was Saturday and i wanted to to continue sleeping for most of the day. Having watched ‘Music and Lyrics’ on HBO, another late night movie on World Movies on Friday night; waking up early seemed like a difficult task. My sister however had other plans. She wanted to visit a temple. She had been trying to wake me and was shouting on top of her voice.

A Feeling of guilt

We moved to this apartment in mid 90’s, that is almost 12 years ago. There is this place in the balcony that is left empty for some reason, It is a part of the ‘window covering’ that most houses have to protect the room from the sun and the rain. This place was never noticed until one day when i saw a pigeon sitting doing its regular ‘Gooter goo’.

Passing Time

I have always been wondering what people do during the free time. I like watching Tv and that is what i normally do when there is no possibility of ‘playing’ cricket or going out somewhere with someone. All this works when u r at home and there is no one bossing around u.  But, What do u do when u have free time in office??
