IPL 2: Match 10: KKR vs RR : Yusuf celebrates the first tie breaker win

April 24,2009 Newlands Capetown: Kolkatta Knight Riders set a target of 16 for the Rajasthan Royals who won the match off with 2 balls to spare. Yusuf Pathan hit 2 sixes and a boundary in his valiant 18 that brought Rajasthan Royals the first valid 2 points in the IPL. The players shaked hands as Ganguly left the field disappointed following his team’s decision to bowl Ajantha Mendis. Confused? This could well be called the final result of the match. Rajasthan Royals won their first match of the season in what is called the ‘Super over’ rule. Both teams were tied at a score of 150 at the end of their 20 overs. IPL 2: Missing the Buzz..

Rain affected matches, Delayed starts, Inconsistent rules, Strategic breaks (?!?) and the teams themselves have contributed to some boring start to the second season of the Indian Premier League. IPL working committee decided to move this season of the IPL to South Africa after security concerns expresses by the Indian Home Ministry as the dates clashed with central government elections.

Question: You think I’m a L-O-S-E-R ?

If there was anything that I hated about this Sunday, it was my friend calling me a LOSER. Yes, There is one person in this world, who thinks I am a LOSER. The reason for this post is to make you believe that you are a LOSER too if you think what he said is right. But first, Why did he call me a LOSER.. Just because i don’t have a girl friend right now.. What? Is that the real reason? you may ask..

Well, probably not but yes that’s the core part of the statement.. It’s called ‘girl friend’.. My question is, are we really a LOSER if we don’t have a ‘Girl friend’ or a ‘Boy friend’.. If you have had a small affair in the past, you are less than a loser, but having no girlfriend is like a crime.. WTH.. I seek explanation..

How many times have you been asked the same question. Every time you login and talk to your friend over a chat, “How was your weekend?”, “What did you do over the weekend?”.. What’s your answer.. I’m sure most of us say..”It was good, Nothing special”.. Or “Just Fine”.. It’s always that.. The thing that worries me is people keep asking the same question over and over again with most of us having ‘Nothing special’ as the reply.. Test Cricket: Wisden Test XI for 2008

If the world wasn’t surprised by India making inroads into the test arena, The latest announcement of the Wisden test XI  brings in more surprises. Five Indians make it to the list of 11 test cricketers in the WISDEN TEST XI FOR 2008. When i read the news story in the news papers this morning, I was happy to see the inclusion of five Indians but had to raise a few eyebrows about the selection of few other players. Taking a look at the team for the second time makes me realize that the selection is based on the batting order in which they line up. Each one of them has been the best in the world throughout the year 2008 for their respective teams.. Read on as we discuss the team and the players..

Tata Nano: What’s the buzz?

Nano is said to be the dream of Ratan Tata who wished to see every Indian middle class family own a car of their own. As many as 3 million cars have been booked in the first week after it’s official launch all over India on March 23rd 2009. A lot has been said and written about the car and the features, Here’s mine. But what’s the deal about it that makes it so popular? Is it the attractive price? or the one of a kind design for the kind of price it’s being offered? What ever may be the reason, people continue to book the car paying 80 pc of the money at the time of booking even when they are not sure of when it will be delivered.  Further in the post we’ll discuss why I wouldn’t buy a Nano.

I have been too busy over the week to comment or blog about any hot topic, These days the random thoughts have reduced to a bare minimum which could be good signs for me but bad for the blog.. Now i have to go hunting for a topic for what came into my mind as a random thought.. Funny Status Messages

There are days when you feel pissed off and don’t want to be disturbed. There are days when u r in a happy mood and want to express a feeling without having to talk to everybody. Status messages come in handy (For people who don’t understand the term, Status message is a ‘tag’ line that appears with the online status of a person) and I’m a big fan of the funny ones.

This is nothing to do with the love of my life, the Television. I will be using this post to discuss some of the problems that a ‘Girl’ child faces along the rural parts of India. The inspiration to this post comes from a couple of shows i watched on television.
