This comes as a follow up post to one of my earlier posts: ‘Death is hereditary‘. Thanks to Ambika (There is your request Ambika.. A top of the post recommendation
) whose comment carried a link to a death predictor. I know I have to die someday, I’m not Immortal.. It’s just some confusion with how i want my life to end.. The predictor helps me choose my death.. It was interesting and worth a try, What came up was.. “At age 72 you will fall into a vat of neutral shoe polish, and your body will never be recovered“.. bah! Shoe Polish? I Love My Life.. Vidhya Shanakar even went on to suggest me getting used to the taste… It’s at the age of 72, but Shoe polish? I’d prefer the white one to the black..
What about the post now?… Read the rest of this entry »
Confusion: Choosing death
March 31, 2009Death is ‘Heriditery’
March 27, 2009The post is not so funny as the heading sounds.. Here’s why..
I looked out the window, I saw a huge crane.. The one that is used to ship materials to the top of huge constructions.. tall and gigantic in size.. It was transporting a load of steel re bar to the top of the building.. While this was a spectacle in itself to watch imagining how technology has grown, imagine carrying such a load manually.. a ten stories building would be nominated to be the 8th wonder of the world
These thoughts gave me happy feelings.. but there was this one thought that freaked me out.. Read the rest of this entry »
Announcement: The New Sports Blog
March 25, 2009
Introducing exclusive Sports Blog: KJ@Sports
I have been noticing a lot more readership but very less comments on this blog. Personally i’m very happy to see this many page views, but less comments is starting to worry me. Off late a lot of people who commented on the blog have not specifically complained, but indicated a feeling of not liking the sports related post. “I don’t know what to comment” says LVS, who reads the blog regularly and is always available with his inputs on the blog. A lot of confusion of whether i should move the sports blogs to a separate URL has been haunting me. Read the rest of this entry »
Tata Nano: World’s Cheapest Car
March 24, 2009Tata Nano, World’s cheapest car launched in India yesterday, 23 March 2009. Amidst all the reviews, Previews and News Stories following the Nano, I present a simplistic and a Lay man’s view of what Nano means to me. As seen from Television reports, Nano to me looked likes a regular 3 wheeler or a 4 wheeler Auto Rickshaw that goes around town, Popularly known as the ‘Share-Auto’ in Chennai. It didn’t look any different in size, the only difference – the shape.
Cricket News From Around the World..
March 23, 2009It’s difficult to keep posting Cricket with so many matches being played around the world at the same time. Last night it was West Indies who beat England by 21 runs to level the current one day series 1-1 with 3 matches left to be played. South Africa beat Australia by an innings when the visitors were bowled out. Australia however got their hands around the trophy clinching the series 2-1. Earlier, India won their first test match in 33 years to beat NewZealand in less than 4 days of what was a Indian dominated match most of the time. Time constraint and the need to write 3 different posts for three matches as reviews is quite a task. So here we go.. Read the rest of this entry »

F1: A look at what to expect in Season 2009
March 20, 2009
Season 2008 saw one of the best finishes to the season that ever happened in F1 history. Lewis Hamilton for Mclaren became one of the youngest drivers in formula 1 history to win a championship title. He won the championship with just one point over Fillipe Massa of Ferrari. The fans could not have asked for a better finish than this one, The championship kept changing hands until the last three or four laps, The championship deciding moment only came at the last turn of the last race of the season. Relive the Championship 2008 moment here.

My 100th Post: A feeling of Pride
March 19, 2009
I started this blog as a mere requirement given by one of my trainers at the current company to understand basic web designing. The project was complete and the blog occupied space with no real reason.
In about 2 years, kunaljanu@wordpress has drawn a broad audience which now fetches an average of 300 page views, 90 percent of which are unique visitors, The blog now has about 20 active subscribers with close to 11k page impressions, which is not a good number but significant considering that the blog is more personal than general. Participation in the conversations prompted by the blog is the key to the value of the blog and I am pleased and appreciative of the contribution from all of those that have posted – a total of over 400 comments that have been made on over 100 posts. Confusion: To Vote or not to Vote?
March 18, 2009
It’s election time in India, and all political parties are trying to inspire people into voting for them. Every single electoral party, which I assume is about a 100 is trying new and innovative ways into getting voter attention. Congress on one hand bought the rights of the famous ‘Jai Ho’ song from the Oscar winner movie, Slumdog Millionaire, While the chief of BJP, Lal Krishna Advani is all over the internet courtesy Google Ad’s. Every other minor party is already making promises that may never be fulfilled. The blame game has already started as the political parties are begging for attention and votes.
