Ibibo – I build I bond..

December 12, 2008

I have been on Ibibo for a while and continue visiting it for some ‘fun ‘ answering stupid questions people ask.  Ibibo gave me a lifetime opportunity of being in TV and till date it happens to only appearance on television. Yes, I was on News24 channel for a live interview. Not looking the best on TV, but what the hell! It probably became a reason to start this blog, There are a series of blog posts i have published to share the experience.

So as i was telling, I have been Ibibo for a while. It’s a fun website, better than orkut, at least for me. I started off writing blogs, and answering questions. Not much activity was seen until they started some contests. The stakes were high and At least after our videos were put online and our contact numbers been made available for users to let them know that we were actual winners. Off late the contest that has been buzzing is the ‘Ibibo fesh face‘ contest. Read the rest of this entry »

Oops.. I did it again..

December 3, 2008

tatasky-1That’s probably what I’d say when i do something wrong. Only this time I’m expecting TataSky management to say it, and i hope they do. I know someone reading this post should be saying ‘Oh, Not again’ but what the hell it gave me a reason to post. More cribbing about TataSky’s exceptional ‘Jhingalala’ Service in the post. Hey this time I’m also criticizing my favorite sports broadcaster ESPN STAR, But they have a role play in this post. You might want to end it here. Hey BTW, I may want you to read the ‘PS’ (Post Script) at the end of the post.. So just take a look.. Read the rest of this entry »

What the.. 26-11 Could have been stopped!!

December 2, 2008

I found this on the Mumbai Edition of the Hindustan Times Online paper – 2nd December 2008. And with a lot of shame, I present it to the blogging world. This comes as a disgrace to me, and all Indians.

A conversation between a LeT militant and an unidentified person on satellite phone was traced by the research department of the Intelligence wing on September 19 2008 and September 24 2008. The conversation confirmed that the militants were planning an attack on the hotels by the sea in Mumbai and they will take the sea route. Other traces also suggested that they required 5 Bangladesh simcards for some purpose. On Nov 19 another trace on the satellite phone suggested that they would reach Mumbai between 9 to 11. The Satellite phone was traced to being in the sea and only a few kilometers away from the actual place.

Reports also suggest the terrorists being caught by an unidentified Indian naval Ship and then being let off when they produced fake ID cards assuming they were fishermen from Gujarat. It is also said that the fishermen had informed the police about the unidentified men, but the Police did not bother to take notice of the situation.  Police however do not confirm anything of that sort. U might want to read the news reports, take a look.. Read the rest of this entry »

They immediately took control of what was called a planned attack. They took the people in the hotel as hostages as they continued terrorizing the people. The terrorists were specifically looking for British and foreign nationals said an eye witness who escaped the building as fire started to rise in the main lobby of Taj Palace hotel following a grenade attack. One of the assassins has been caught alive, Interrogation has led to new findings. The latest is that the satellite phones collected from the crime scene lead them to LET (Laskar-e-Taiba) which is believed to be closely associated with Al-Qaeda.
