Happy Diwali
Long time no see.. Yes, It’s been a while since the last post.. Wondering where have i been? Just been busy, lots of work on hand. No reason for a post actually! I had a few issues i wanted to discuss, Raj Thackeray and the Non Maharastrian non sense. About Why the central government has no say on the the crisis in Srilanka where thousands of Srilankan Tamil’s are being killed by the army.. Or even Celebrating Diwali.. These are sensitive issues and i better keep it to talking about it than having something written.
I have been rather ‘Mad’ thinking about what i did this ‘Dhanteras’. I need some more light to clear this one off my mind, therefore putting it up here to know ur views. Nothing political, nothing social, purely personal and a lot of questions unanswered. Read the rest of this entry »

India’s Leading Air Liner – Jet Airways has now re instantiated all of its 800 sacked employees following protests in cities and with demand from politicians. Following a late night news press conference in Mumbai on 16 October 2008, Mr.Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways announced the decision to the gathered media.
“I apologise for all the agony you went through,” Goyal said. “The management will have to understand sometimes in a family there are disagreements but the father of the family decides.” Read the rest of this entry »

World markets were taken by storm as Lehman Brothers, one of the most prestigious players on the wall street filed a Bankruptcy report with the US Fed after having failed in negotiations to find a way to save the company. The collapse of Lehman brothers put tens and thousands of Jobs around the world at risk. It also sent shock waves around the Banking world with big names suggesting that the damage could be felt around the world, and could put the big countries into recession. BIGTV launched its DTH services in India August 15,2008. TataSky happened to be the better market player compared to the other DTH services till then. While customer complains were on rise, The complaints relating to other services kept TataSky at bay. All hell broke loose when BIGTV announced its arrival. Everyone knew that BIGTV would launch big time, and crash the prices in the existing market. That did not happen, as BIGTV packages seemed higher than what other DTH services had to offer. However this brought down the prices of new STB with the other players. As the news about BIGTV introductory offer spread, There was a sudden spike in the sales. Yes, Sourav Ganguly, A legendary Indian Batsmen has decided to call it quits with Test Cricket at the end of the India – Australia series. A sad end to the heroic life he led. Most successful captain that Indian Cricket has ever seen. He was the aggressor. I have been discussing various ways in which people are scammed, did i ever mention that i was once scammed?? A scam that ripped me off 100 Bucks in a more public place, The Railway Station. It was about 5 years back, I was in class XII then.. My family was out of station for somebody’s marraige, I had to stay back at home for classes that i had to attend before my examinations. It was Saturday! After having spent half day at school, I had to cancel a few railway tickets that my father had booked earlier. It’s day 7 of the 9 day navaratri festival. Navaratri literally means 9 nights in Sanskrit. Nava meaning nine and Ratri meaning night. It is the only festival in India that is celebrated for over 9 days. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi i.e. female divinity are worshiped. Navratri is festival every gujarati, why Gujarati every North Indian looks up to. People actually spend nights doing Garba and Dandiya Raas (A traditional dance form). This year, all the excitement of getting dressed traditionally, dancing with the crowd of over 1000 people all seem to have faded in Chennai. Read the rest of this entry »

It was Thursday, October 2nd 2008. We had planned to play cricket early this morning. Our team managed to win 1 out of 2 matches.. Yayeeee! The second game was a big win! My performance was not so significant in the teams win. I scored a meager 1 run off 2 balls in the first, A golden duck (0 off 1 ball) in the second. Disappointed and Dejected i left the field and traveled back home. I was traveling by the corporation buses this time, as it was a holiday. New rules are being formed by ICC (International cricket council) to make the game more interesting.Some of the major changes include, allowing the batting side to choose the third power play, Review of decision, Free-Hit on front foot no balls and Mandatory change of ball at the end of 35th over.
