Are women really feeling safe in our country? The question comes to my mind after reports of a 20 year old German female tourist complained of molestation by a few people.
“September 28,2008; Chandigarh:
A 20-year-old German tourist was allegedly kidnapped and molested by six men on Sunday. She was forcibly taken in a Mahindra Scorpio at about 2 am IST on Sunday from Hotel Taj GVK parking lot and was released in the evening when two men dropped her in front of her friend’s house in Sector 20. The accused used a Maruti 800 car to drop her.
By Monday evening, the police seized one of the cars used by the molesters and identified two of the men out of which one has been arrested.” Read the rest of this entry »

India has always been a political battle ground for years. With more and more parties being formed, the political scene is only heating up. Lately, It became evident when three MLA’s came out with bags full of money claiming to having been bribed to lend support to the ruling government. Its a shame to the country when such scenes were televised on national television. There even have been days when female members were being ripped off their clothing, chairs being broken, and images shattered! Read the rest of this entry »

It was a golden age when DD teleacasted its own serials, shows whose primary focus was to show reality in India. Shows that contained content suitable to all audiences. Now, Saas bahu serials seem to dominate Indian television, One cannot imagine a TV channel that runs without a single Saas Bahu Serial. As an initiative to provide content that stood distinct from the rest of the entertainment channels, Colors launched series of programmes focusing on the current problems in society, shows that reflected the history and culture of India. Balika Vadhu, adds to my list of highly recommended programmes. Read the rest of this entry »

Most of my readers..(I use ‘most’ because u know people who leave comments. Most only read. Some derive inspiration to write blogs but a very few leave comments).. Where were we.. Yeah, Most! Most people think that i only have blogs that are complaining about something.. TataSky.. Complaint letters.. Avoiding scams and what not.. Is there something genuinely ‘Good’ that i will be talking about??

Miseries continue for most of the customers who bought TataSky as a trusted product. What aggravated me to write this blog is the letter i received. The letter carried the information related to the new packages being introduced from October 1 2008. All the more, comments from people(not on this blog, but on the forum as well) related to calling TataSky the best service in India aggravated things even further.
U might want to know what miseries are? Take a look at the add-on packs and Its charges. Read the rest of this entry »

If you’ve complained about the problem and found yourself brushed off or ignored, you may feel that it’s time to write a complaint letter. Complaint letters aren’t always fun, but sometimes they need to be written. In many cases, if people don’t complain, the problem agency at fault (i.e. company or government) won’t even know that the problem you and others may have experienced, even exists…. This one is an interesting one, An experiment if u may call.. If successful, I might have more comments, If not a mere 47th Post. I had some other social topics that I’d have blogged about had this topic not come up. This one comes at a right time i think, Last night I was actually thinking about ‘The way I think’; Co-Incidentally, Shilpa has a post on the same on her blog. It was the right time to start a discussion. More focused on getting some feedback about my attitude towards life.

September 25, 2008Hello people..
An achievement, My blog has received 100 comments! (Thanks to a fellow reader, Armaan, whose comment leaves me with 99 comments, I add a reply and it becomes one hundred!) Of course there are my comments as a part of this. Not many but a considerate amount of them. Let me see, Just under 25 i guess.
This post also happens to be my 50th Post! Thanks Shilpa for motivating in writing a blog a day. Also look at my Friend’s links on the right hand side. They are all worth looking at and commenting
This may not seem like a big achievement to fellow bloggers. Being a person who hates reading, who hated writing, who hated any activity other than Cricket and TV, this is a real achievement. Cheers! Read on to know more statistics of the blog.. As of now (September 25, 2008, 11.45am (IST).. Read the rest of this entry »
